Air France and Air Burkina sign a codeshare agreement

Air France and Air Burkina just signed a code-sharing agreement between Paris and Ouagadougou officials said today.

Since June 1st, 2012, Air France makes available Air Burkina seats on flights operated daily by Air France between its hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Ouagadougou.

According to Air France, this "code-sharing agreement is the first step of the new commercial cooperation agreed between the two companies. The agreement is expected in the near future, to be extended to other lines in West Africa and Central America as in France and Europe. "

"This partnership agreement is part of a perspective of long-term cooperation. This is an additional illustration of the strategy of Air France in Africa, aimed at working with local partners. Air France serves Ouagadougou from its hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle with a daily flight, operated by Airbus A330 or Airbus A340.

Air Burkina, Burkina Faso's national airline, serves 10 cities in West Africa and Central departing from its hub in Ouagadougou and MD87 CRJ 200 Bombardier. Air Burkina is CELESTAIR Class Member (and SN Air Mali and Air Uganda).
